Dr. Narendra Singh
Dr. Narendra Singh is director of International society of herbal medicine . For more than four decades Dr N. Singh
has been using a holistic approach in researching medicinal herbs, studying single herbs and combination preparations through
modern scientific experimental and pharmaco-clinical techniques. His efforts have consolidated in the development of an extensive
range of herbal formulations for the preservation of human health and treatment of disease. Dr. Narendra Singh has given the
exclusive rights to the culmination of his research and development, his herbal medicinal formulations included, to ORGANIC
INDIA.
In addition to being an active medical doctor using both herbal and allopathic medical treatments, Dr. Singh is a pioneer
in the modern scientific investigation of the traditional Ayurvedic and medicinal herbs of India, having published hundreds
of articles in scientific journals. He is perhaps best known for his award-winning research on the adaptogenic and anti-stress
properties of classic medicinal/Ayurvedic herbs and their broad array of therapeutic properties.
Dr. Singh is the former Head of the Regional Ayurvedic Research Institute (Government of India, Department of Health) as
well as the former Head of Ayurvedic Research, Department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics, King George's Medical College,
Lucknow, India, and served as a clinical and research officer in the Indian Army Medical Corps.

Currently, Dr. Singh is president of the International Society of Herbal Medicine, as well as being Director of the International
Institute of Herbal Medicine. He serves on the editorial board and is a referee for numerous national and international scientific
journals. p>
Dr. Singh has organized and chaired several major conferences, most recently the 2nd World Congress on Biotechnological
Developments of Herbal Medicine 2003 and the National Seminar on Eco-Friendly Herbs of Ayurveda in the Health Care of Mankind,
2004.
In addition to his ongoing scientific and academic activities, Dr. Singh offers free clinical services to the underprivileged
at several rural and urban sites, including our original Tulsi farming community near his ancestral home near Azamgarh in Uttar Pradesh.
Dr. Singh has been awarded an impressive array of academic degrees, including Bachelor of Science (Botany) and several
doctoral degrees (MBBS & MD), with certification in Clinical Medicine, Surgery, Pharmacology (research) and Alternative
Medicine and Naturopathy.
